Teaching Philosophy
I believe that teaching at any level should take place in a positive, safe learning environment. Students should feel comfortable enough to take risks and try new things. As a teacher, I feel that my role is to help them progress in their quest to become more proficient in English. I believe in fairness, understanding and patience. I believe every student has the capacity to learn and every mind has the ability to do great things. I believe that, in a classroom, teaching and learning go both ways. They are a result of open mindedness and willingness to understand, cooperate and adapt.
However, teaching stretches beyond the classroom. A teacher inspires students to question the world around them, to want more, to hope for better, and they transmit a thirst for learning and evolution. A teacher helps students find their passions, while accepting their strengths and weaknesses. A teacher helps their students embrace their strengths, work on their weaknesses and discover and fulfill their passions.
